Interpreting Multiplication and Division

I have not tried this lesson but the cards are cut out and ready for my 7th grade class later in year. This is an example of one of the Concept Development lessons freely provided by the Math Shell (http:/map.mathshell.org) and is a type of Formative Assessment Lesson that involves a preassessment. All instructions are included at http://map.mathshell.org/materials/lessons.php?taskid=551&subpage=concept. This link includes the reassessment, slides, and sorting cards to cut out. Here is an awesome overview of the FAL process. I found it by googling the creator of the web site's name, Malcolm Swan found here: https://maths-no-fear.wikispaces.com/file/view/Malcolm+Swan-Improving+learning+in+mathematics-challenges+and+strategies.pdf
